To Better Finance Education and a Curriculum that Correlates with Financial Markets
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – (April 30, 2018) (PINK OTC: APTY) APT SYSTEMS, INC., a fully-reporting, publicly-traded, financial technology company, announced that is has gifted five million shares to benefit the student-run investment fund manager, TRITON FUNDS LLC; the donation supports the initiative founded by undergraduates from the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego).
“We believe that student-led initiatives need our support because they are key drivers of positive change, both on and off campus, and an important part of the financial community. The hands-on experience provided to the students is invaluable in setting them up for success,” said Glenda Dowie, founder and CEO of APT Systems. “I really appreciate TRITON FUNDS thoughtful input and millennial touch at our weekly meetings.”
“Our goal in starting TRITON FUNDS was to provide real-world experience to the students at the fund; however, the vision has evolved into so much more,” said Yash Thukral, co-founder of TRITON FUNDS. “Everyone on our team has the opportunity to receive academic credit for working at the fund in addition to the opportunity of building relationships with industry professionals. We have developed a strong curriculum that correlates with the nature of the financial markets, in order to construct well-rounded individuals, to make UC San Diego a target school for Fortune 500 companies to recruit from. Companies like APT Systems allow us to get our foot in the door and allow our operations to thrive.”
“We give our most sincere gratitude to the support offered by APT Systems to our student initiative,” said Sam Yaffa, co-founder of TRITON FUNDS. “When we receive a donation, it feels like we have earned a scholarship, or reward, for our hard work because we know it will be used to benefit our students and the expansion of our program to other campuses.”
Nathan Yee, co-founder of TRITON FUNDS said, “We created TRITON FUNDS to provide students with real-world experience; our goal is to expand to other universities and share the opportunity and our knowledge. The donations we receive make it all possible.”
APT System’s management’s vision is simply making people’s lives better by managing trust through enhancing the way they trade and make payments. Our Directors supported partnering with the TRITON FUNDS program as it meets this goal by helping students go further every day and reaching their goals.
